Pretty Green are excited to announce that we’re an official sponsor of Truck Festival this year. BEEN STELLAR
MARKET STAGE, SATURDAY
These NY rockers have been the talk of the town recently. Their career has already hit massive heights, having toured with The 1975 and Interpol before they even released their debut album “Scream From New York, NY” last month. Don’t miss their set on The Market Stage, Saturday.
BARRIOKE WITH SHAUN WILLIAMSON
ROCKIN CHAIR, SATURDAY
If you don’t know about Barrioke - get to know! Shaun Williamson, best known as ‘Barry from Eastenders’, has made waves across the UK with sell-out karaoke shows up and down the country. He brings Barrioke to Truck Festival’s Rockin Chair stage on Sunday this year, and it’s bound to be a riotous, hilarious group singalong.
ENGLISH TEACHER
THE NEST, FRIDAY
We’ve been shouting about Leeds band English Teacher a lot at PG recently, and with good reason. Their Island Records debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’ was released back in April to unanimous critical acclaim; a sprawling piece of art-rock cum chamber-pop with influences from post-punk to R&B. They’ll be headlining The Nest stage on Friday - do not miss.
FAT DOG
THE NEST, SATURDAY
If you’ve not heard of Fat Dog by now, what rock have you been under? They’ve taken the industry by storm since their inception at the end of lockdown; their insanity-inducing live shows and intense brand of electro-punk built a word of mouth buzz that saw them signed to Domino Records before they’d even released so much as a demo. If you’re a mosh aficionado, make sure you get yourself down to The Nest stage on Saturday evening.
MR MOTIVATOR
MAIN STAGE, SATURDAY
By this point, Derrick Evans AKA Mr Motivator is a mainstay of Truck Festival, having performed there for the past few years. Taking to the stage in extravagant lycra, his unique communal workouts help fight away the worst of hangovers and get you fit for the mosh pits ahead. We’ll see you there at the mainstage first thing Saturday morning.
NIGHT BUS
MARKET STAGE, SATURDAY
Manchester newcomers and So Young Record signees Nightbus describe their sound as “late night music”. A pretty apt description as purveyors of atmospheric, Joy Division-esque melancholy post-punk - but we’ve got high hopes that it’ll still work just as well on midday Saturday at the Market Stage.
BALANCING ACT
MAIN STAGE, THURSDAY
Alt rock newcomers Balancing Act will be one of the first bands to grace the Truck Festival mainstage on Thursday. Following the release of their debut EP last November, they’ve been hotly tipped by tastemakers like Radio 1’s Jack Saunders as one of the most promising new acts on the UK scene, and we’re inclined to agree. If you’ve got an early access ticket, you’d be a fool to miss them.
